Understanding safe and unsafe touch is not about creating fear it is about empowering children and equipping parents to ensure their child’s safety, confidence, and well-being.
Did you know?
Globally, about 1 in 8 girls and 1 in 11 boys experience unsafe touch during childhood. These numbers remind us that child safety is not just a topic; it is a responsibility.
Hi Kalpaa believes that a child’s safety and emotional well-being are just as important as their academic growth. Education goes beyond classrooms; it includes awareness, confidence, and protection.
As part of Hi Kalpaa's Parent Connect Program, an impactful awareness session was conducted on “Good Touch & Bad Touch," led by Dr. Sheetal Jethy.
The session had witnessed excellent parent attendance, reflecting the importance and sensitivity of this subject. Parents actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions about how to speak to children about body safety in an age-appropriate and reassuring manner.
Dr. Sheetal shared practical guidance on building safe and open communication at home. She emphasised the importance of helping the children identify unsafe situations. She gave the parents insights on how to respond calmly and confidently if a child shares such concerns.
The feedback was truly heartening. Parents expressed that they felt relieved, reassured, and more aware after the session and better equipped to guide and protect their children.
Hi Kalpaa is committed to empowering not just children but families with knowledge, awareness, and confidence to create a safe environment for every child.
Because when parents and schools work together, children grow stronger, safer, and more confident.
Together, we grow. Together, we protect.
