The KEEP – Kalpaa Excellence Empowerment Learning Programme was successfully conducted from 21st May to 23rd May as an intensive 3-day teacher training programme for both new and existing educators of Hi-Kalpaa Preschool. The programme aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of Early Childhood Education, effective teaching practices, classroom management, and child-centered learning approaches inspired by Finnish Pedagogy.
Teachers were introduced to Hi-Kalpaa’s Vision and Mission along with the core principles of Finnish education, focusing on experiential learning, play-based learning, emotional well-being, creativity, inquiry-based learning, and holistic child development. Interactive sessions covered Literacy, Numeracy, EVS, Social-Emotional Skills, Six Learning Spaces, Pre-writing Skills, Pattern Concepts, Music & Movement, Physical Activities, and Story Yoga.
The training also focused on important classroom and academic practices such as lesson planning, assessment methods, observation record maintenance, homework planning, child psychology, and classroom management techniques. Teachers gained practical knowledge on creating joyful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children.
The programme was highly interactive with group discussions, brainstorming sessions, presentations, experiential activities, and fun recreational games that encouraged teamwork, creativity, confidence, and active participation among teachers.
The KEEP programme successfully reinforced Hi-Kalpaa’s commitment towards teacher empowerment, Finnish-inspired experiential learning, and quality early childhood education.
